Hey everyone! Just thought we’d check in and give you some updates on what’s been happening. Things have kind of slowed down for us playing wise lately for many reasons, Jokull going to Iceland for a couple of months to work on some things, other projects members are involved with and our drummer Mike leaving and finding someone to fill his place.
Even though we haven’t been actively playing shows lately, we’ve still been keeping busy at the rehearsal space getting the new guy up to par and working on new material. We’re also doing some pre-productions for our first full-length album and figuring out how we’re going to finance it without relying on Kickstarter again.
We recently started working with a manager who’s been sending out e-mails and cd’s to college stations and various venues across the country. We also just got into a compilation CD called “Made in Iceland” which features what they consider the best artists from Iceland and those will be sent out to 800 different college stations throughout the united states. We’re hoping to get some tours going this summer, starting with the east coast. On top of all that, we’re trying to finance another EP, which will include songs that haven’t been recorded yet to bring on tour.
In a nutshell, we’ve slowed things down to figure out the band’s future but we will start playing shows again soon starting in May so stay tuned and keep an eye out for updates.
